Singer Kehlani is being sued for allegedly smashing up a rental Ferrari which the owner says crashed into some sort of animal while she filmed a music video.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, a Florida company says Kehlani rented a luxury sports car they owned through a third party company and it was returned with major damage.

In the suit, the company claims back in April, the Ferrari was "rented" to the singer by a "third party rental agency" for her "personal use only."

But, the company claims the 2017 luxury vehicle was instead used for "commercial purposes" being used in the production of her "Open (Passionate)(Quarantine Style)" official music video.

Ferrari Owner Says The Alleged Accident Caused Over $24,000 In Damages

The company claims at some point the singer "negligently, recklessly, carelessly operated the Ferrari as to collide with an animal and/or unknown object and thereby causing significant material damage" to the luxury ride.

In the video, Kehlani can be seen driving in a black Ferrari somewhere in the desert, and at some point, she is also seen filming on a dirt road. It's unclear if this is where the alleged animal accident took place.

In the lawsuit, the owner claims the damage was so bad it will cost $24,426.12 to get fixed.

Plus, they alleged the owner continues to suffer due to the "loss of use of the Ferrari from the date of loss on April 22, 2020, through the date the Ferrari was fully repaired."

Even worse, the lawsuit claims the car's value has been 'diminished' by a value of almost $90,000.

Oh ya, and they say this car rents for over $1,000 a day (as reflected by the rental rate paid by the singer) -- a total of the damage including the loss of rental time is over $35,000 the company says.

Interestingly, the lawsuit says the company wants the judge to make a judicial determination that the damages were caused by a 'motor vehicle accident' and allow them to suspend her driver's license until any judgment is paid.

The good news, the song is awesome, and the video is even better!!
