Since Marvel's first Black Panther movie hit theaters it was praised across the board for telling one of the deepest superhero stories ever. The creation of the movie made many people wish that they could pack their bags and head for Wakanda. Well, it turns out that Wakanda is being created in Georgia. A state that recently has passed laws that in many respects make it harder for people to vote, and primarily minorities.
Today as a guest columnist on Deadline the director of the film Ryan Coogler says the film is going to continue to be shot in Georgia. That doesn't mean for one second that they'll be ignoring the fight for social justice.
