DMX Remains In A Coma On Life Support, Doctors Testing His Critical Brain Function

"DMX is currently on life support and in a coma. There are multiple people with inaccurate information about his well-being and it is not helpful and productive. Tomorrow he will undergo further tests on his brain function and his family will determine what's best from there. We appreciate your prayers and support," Steve Rifkind said in a statement.

As we reported, DMX overdosed on drugs several days ago and suffered a massive heart attack during the episode. At the time, his brain was without oxygen for some time while first responders attempted to save his life.

DMX's manager claims his condition has no "materially changed" in the past few days which makes the prognosis of his surviving the incident not look good.

As we reported, the legendary rapper had to be resuscitated three different times from his home to the hospital. Plus, after arriving at the ICU, DMX has had "little brain activity."

The musician's children have been arriving at the hospital and are being let into the room one at a time, due to COVID-19 restrictions. According to reports, this could be the last chance for family members to say goodbye.

According to one report, DMX's family visited with him on Tuesday night, leaving around 10 PM. Today is a critical day for the rapper and everyone is hoping the diagnosis is better than it has been for the past few days. Doctors are hoping his brain function has gotten better since the last test.

Thousands of fans and friends have gathered outside of the hospital and are praying for the rapper to pull through. A vigil earlier this week was attended by thousands of people, including several of his kids and fiancee, and was extremely moving.
