Prince Harry Lands New Job As Executive Officer Of Mental Health App

As you know, The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle, moved their family from Europe to Montecito, California and have started working on projects outside of the Royal Family.

"I intend to help create impact in people's lives," Prince Harry told the Wall Street Journal.

Harry, who has been open about his mental health issues, added, "Proactive coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness, and an all-around better life."

As for his own journey, Harry continued, "I was matched with my coach who, quite frankly, is truly awesome and has always given me sound advice and a fresh perspective, which is so valuable."

"I firmly believe that focusing on and prioritizing our mental fitness unlocks potential and opportunity that we never knew we had inside of us. As the Royal Marine Commandos say, 'It's a state of mind.' We all have it in us," he included in a blog post on the companies website.

He continued, "Being attuned with your mind and having a support structure around you, are critical to finding your own version of peak performance. What I've learned in my own life is the power of transforming pain into purpose."

Adding, "As BetterUp's first Chief Impact Officer, my goal is to lift up critical dialogues around mental health, build supportive and compassionate communities, and foster an environment for honest and vulnerable conversations. And my hope is to help people develop their inner strength, resilience, and confidence."

As you know, Meghan Markle revealed to Oprah Winfrey in a recent bombshell interview, that she contemplated suicide while living in the Royal Palace.

"I was ashamed to say it at the time and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry. But I knew that if I didn't say it -- then I would do it. I just didn't want to be alive anymore," she said.

Adding, "That was a clear and real and frightening and constant thought."

The company, BetterUp, was founded in 2013 and matches clients which include large companies with a network of 2,000 coaches. The company is currently valued at $1.73 Billion. According to the CEO, Harry's job with be "meaningful and meaty," but it's unclear what will be his compensation.
