Chris Pratt is standing up for the city that gave him his break!

The "Jurrasic World" star took a moment to reflect on the city of Los Angeles and Hollywood on Tuesday, March 9. Pratt was proud to announce that the first project by his production company, Indivisible Productions, started principal photography yesterday. He used the opportunity to express his gratitude for the city of dreams. "This town has been good to me. I’m grateful," he wrote. Chris will star in "The Terminal List," a TV series based on the character, James Reese, from Jack Carr's book series, and the first day of production moved him emotionally.

Film clapper.

Pratt shared a picture of the show's film clapper. The project's title, director, and camera person were clearly visible on the iconic symbol synonymous with Hollywood and film. "The Terminal List" boasts famous director Antoine Fuqua, who has worked with Chris on "Magnificent 7." The show will be the actor's first scripted series since "Parks and Recreation."

The Starlord actor has been on numerous big-time sets, but this experience just hit him differently. "This is the first of many projects coming through my producing entity, Indivisible Productions.," Pratt wrote. "I look around and see the trailers, the trucks, the cast and crew, hundreds of masked and shielded Angelenos getting back to work, adhering strictly to our covid protocols, and I look at the mountain of work ahead of us and my heart just swells."

'I was a dude with a dream living in a van.'

"It’s hard to believe. 20 years ago I was a dude with a dream living in a van," Chris continued. "I moved to LA with one sweater, two pairs of shorts and some rollerblades in a duffel bag. So... needless to say, this town has been good to me. I’m grateful."

"Hollywood gets a bad wrap. We have our share of weirdos and no shortage of whackos. But it makes room for talent, hard work and a willingness to never be stop learning. I’m still hungry, eager to grow and determined to surprise you. Take my word for it, James Reece is a one rowdy mother f——er. Get ready!"

The Marvel star returned home after filming the newest Thor movie in Australia just in time for Valentine's Day. He spent the lover's holiday with his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and baby Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. Chris penned a sweet love note alongside a beach pic of Katherine. "To my love @katherineschwarzenegger I’m a lucky man. You’re a wonderful wife, mother, step mother and Valentine. Thanks for EVERYTHING you’ve given us. I love you so much. ♥️" he wrote. Between his happy home life and his new self-produced series, it seems like Chris is on top of the world!
