Ryan Seacrest QUITS Hosting Job On E!’s 'Live From The Red Carpet'

"After 14 years of hosting E!’s Live from the Red Carpet, I’ve decided to move on to new adventures. I’ll miss the whole crew that works so hard behind the scenes and of course my amazing partner Giuliana. Thanks to everyone for watching all these years," Seacrest captioned a picture of himself holding an E! microphone on a red carpet.

It should be noted, Ryan is the co-host of 'Live With Kelly and Ryan' he is the host of 'American Idol' and he has a national radio show. So, ya he has plenty to do after he leaves this gig.

"E! Live on the Red Carpet will never be the same! 😥," one fan wrote. Another added, "Good for you enjoy life. Don’t let it pass you by with working all the time 😊❤️🙏🏼."

Of course, the rumor mill started churning as soon as Ryan made the announcement with one fan saying, "Time for a big change...Fatherhood❤🙏." It's possible!

But, many of Seacrest's fans are worried about his health after having several very public issues on-air in the past few months. As we reported, Ryan missed a few days on his morning show, after coming down with an illness that required a COVID-19 test. He was negative, but it wasn't the first time his health was the subject of speculation.

During a recent home-taping of the American Idol Finale, many fans grew concerned at the sight of one of Ryan's eyes which looked severely swollen.

His speech and appearance launched a rumor on social media the host might have suffered a stroke -- something his representatives were quick to dismiss. "Ryan did not have any kind of stroke," they said at the time.

Adding, "Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home."

The E! Network issued a statement about Ryan's departure, saying, "E! has long enjoyed our relationship with Ryan over the years especially as co-host of E!'s signature red carpet series. He has been instrumental in giving viewers a front-row seat to some of Hollywood's biggest nights. We are extremely appreciative of his many contributions and he will always be part of the E! family."
