Meghan McCain Shows Erika Jayne Love Despite Embezzlement Claims

By Ryan Naumann

"The View" co-host Meghan McCain is showing "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Erika Jayne support despite the reality star being accused of ripping off orphans.

Meghan posted a photo of a monogrammed bag with her initials MMM on it. She wrote, "Copied this bag idea from @ThePrettyMess" which is Erika's Instagram username. The "RHOBH" star has been hawking bags that have a similar look on her account.

The television host's decision to show love to Erika is interesting.

At the moment, Erika is being accused of helping her husband Thomas Girardi embezzle millions meant for families of plane crash victims. Last year, a federal lawsuit was filed against the reality star and her once-respected lawyer husband.

The lawsuit was brought by Thomas's former clients who claim he failed to pay the settlement money they were owed from a class-action lawsuit he brought on their behalf. They believe Thomas diverted the money to help fund his "lavish lifestyle."

The suit read, "Tom has resorted to embezzling the proceeds of settlements that should have been directed to his clients—including, as the basis for this Complaint, the widows and orphans who lost loved ones in the tragic crash of Lion Air Flight 610—in order to continue funding his and Erika’s lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles."

One creditor believes Thomas paid Erika's entertainment company nearly $20 million. They believe he did this in an attempt to avoid paying his creditors. Erika has yet to respond to the lawsuit.

On top of the suit, Thomas is also accused of owing millions to various people. His former law firm partner, along with others who are owed money, filed an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy on his behalf. The bankruptcy judge approved the petition and appointed a trustee to take over control of Thomas's finances.

Thomas's brother was recently appointed temporary conservator of the famed lawyer. In court documents, he claims Erika's husband is suffering from short-term memory loss.

For her part, Erika has refused to address the claims she helped embezzle the money. She hasn't said a word about the lawsuit or the accusations. The reality star thought the best plan of attack was to post hotshot after hotshot on her Instagram.

Fans have been calling for Bravo to fire Erika from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." They do not understand how the network can turn a blind eye to accusations that she helped steal money meant for orphans.
