LeBron James has been self-quarantined, and he has his beard to prove it. In an Instagram Story posted on March 18, the basketball star showed off his new, bushier beard. James has been unable to see his barber because he's been self quarantined.

“When they advise you be quarantined for fourteen days and isolated from nobody,” James said in the video, showing off his beard. James clearly seemed to be feeling the effects of his quarantine as he entered the home stretch.

James was forced to quarantine because he was likely exposed to NBA players who later tested positive for the coronavirus. After he discovered that he had been exposed, James wisely decided to isolate himself to keep the disease from spreading further.

Unfortunately, one of the side effects of that isolation was a bushy, unkempt beard that even had a few specks of gray in it. In describing the current state of his beard, James pulled compared it to one of the most famous beards in movie history.

“Can’t even get a haircut from my barber. They want me to stay away from him. I’m looking like Tom Hanks off Castaway," James said.

Even as James was forced to deal with his own unruly hair, his wife Savannah Jones was dealing with hair problems of her own. “She can’t even go and get hair done, so she’s going to cut them out herself," James said. "The struggle is real here in the James Household. Gotta do what we gotta do.”

James is just one of the many famous faces who are documenting their time spent in quarantine. Social media has only gotten more active in the time since most people began quarantining. Even as James describes his Tom Hanks beard, Hanks himself is dealing with the coronavirus in his actual life.

Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were two of the first celebrities to be diagnosed with the illness. In the days since they announced their diagnosis, Hanks and Wilson have tried to keep their spirits up.

On Monday, the couple was released from the hospital in Australia where they had been quarantined. Hanks and Wilson were in Australia to film an Elvis Presley biopic with director Baz Luhrmann. Production on the movie shut down following the news that Hanks had tested positive for the illness.

“Good News: One week after testing Positive, in self-isolation, the symptoms are much the same. No fever but the blahs,” Hanks wrote in an update on March 18. “We are all in this together. Flatten the curve. Hanx.”
